The FZE’s interdisciplinary and international research environment offers many advantages for young researchers. The research networks provide options for young academics to combine research and academic qualification. Participating in talks, workshops and conferences and establishing an intensive exchange with academic guests is important in order to make ongoing research endeavors internationally visible.

Academic programs for the structured education of doctoral students, such as offered by the IRTG 1864 “Diversity”, the PROMT-degree program of historical science and the programs of the International Graduate Center of Trier University, are open to all doctorate students of the FZE and offer a wide range of educational options.
