Arye-Maimon-Institut für Geschichte der Juden (AMIGJ)

The Arye Maimon Institute for the History of the Jews (founded in the winter semester 1996/97) investigates the topic of social participation, which is an important instrument for ensuring social cohesion, also and especially under conditions of cultural and religious diversity. Research on the history of the Jews in the Middle Ages and Early Modern Times focuses on questions of cultural and religious difference and the related processes of integration and disintegration.
